Professor Greg Walker will discuss the depiction of Kingship (and of James V) in David Lindsay’s A Satire of the Three Estates; Professor Penny Fielding will look at the case of Sir Walter Scott; and Dr Alex Thomson will talk about attitudes to monarchy in work by more contemporary Scottish authors.
